a joke of love

Contributed by seci on Tuesday, 21st June 2005 @ 08:39:18 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

like sipping wine across the table from one another in hoping to catch one anothers eye
surprising, but scandalous i think and i hoping you can read my mind so i want have to lie
i loved you once and i loved you again, but this time i believed i loved with a life of pretend
i honestly think and now know that i never loved you
i never wanted no part of you
you only had me by a string and now the thread has been cut and there is nothing left of
this of what we had here that you can do
my mind is now feeling a breath of fresh air
i lived by your rules
i was physically, emotionally, and mentally abused
i realize i have to become a fighter now and let you go
i'm stronger and yes wiser and i ready with my boxing gloves to take one blow
i struggled with this pain for so long in my heart
you didn't give a damn about me, but as usual you watch without any help me shatter apart
it takes a real man to care for someone and love strongly and hold a real womans hand
i need someone who loves me for me and my feelings and space i need , he quites understand
powerful i must say
and it took me longer than a day
i no longer have to push and shove
i through with your games , lies and your little joke of love

Wow seci---powerful stuff...Your emotions are fully felt in this, and as I said to you before, follow your heart, and I'm glad you are.
Especially in light of reading a couple details I didn't know of before....Run and don't look back girl!!! Your wording in this write is excellent, and again...you're making the right choice....Take Care.
Scorp.
