Distant memories -
Bleakened by the night,
Cold and alone....
I'm losing this fight;
The suns completely gone now....
I can't find one ray of hope,
All those rainbows;
That once held so much beauty and promise -
Are nowhere to be found.
Nothing is permanent,
Nothing feels right....
With all distractions covered by darkness,
Theres no mistaking;
This is real life!
No pretty scenery to block your view....
You try to escape,
But as you stumble around;
Your eyes begin to adjust to the bitter truths...
Love cannot be built on solid ground;
I've tried to change it,
But theres just no use!
