The darkness has gathered like the coming of a storm or an ill omen from an ill fated tongue
She looks into the black fearing not- though a tear was shed for she hears the cry of her children
Laugh she should for she is the Sister of the Moon and darkness can never rule for long, no, not while that silver phantom moves dreamily
But her children, those memories that echoe in the dust, scream still for justice and follow in her foot steps not knowing that the hosts of heaven hunt them in the night
No, never knowing what waits for them in the shadows
And she has stripped away her robes standing naked in defiance shouting to the unseen tempest "I will not die quietly in the night!"
Even when she is lost no say embraced by her inevitable lover-
Even when her breath is taken and replaced with his fire and his burning seed
She stands in defiance and sheds a tear for the screams of her children lost to the night.

Anguished, dramatic, dark and descriptively beautiful. I have to wonder who this is about...
Great write.

That was good... I liked the rebelliousness in the 'I will not die quietly in the night'
statement, and the ending was gorgeous too, as it combined the defiance with the
weakness that is inherently human. Gorgeous.
