I'm at the barrel of a gun
a friend's time has come
but the tears won't come.
What's begun is begun
and the road that the world's headed for
is a wild one
but the tears won't come.
Momma's getting older
brother's getting bolder
I feel like at the end
I'll be the only surviving one
but the tears won't come.
People die every day
kids killing kids just to play
and Africans,my people,
are leaving their brothers dead in the hay
but the tears won't come.
I'm dying inside
I feel it
but can't repeal it
'cause the game's got me dry hung
even for myself , the tears just won't come
