Black is the Color, None is the Number

Topic: oops

And what will you take from me my young love
And where will you hide when the winds follow you home
When the branches of the trees grab you as you are running
When the avalanches on the mountain tumble accumulating

And where can I find you when the sunshine has faded
And who will be the one left standing in the rain naked
When shelter is scarce and the food frozen uneatable
When laughter is banned and happiness thrown from the window

And when does the point drive itself into your brain
And when does the part of the honest man fade

I saw a movie where the bad ones made it
I witnessed the murder where the younger one fainted
I drew it, and thought it, and masked it, and painted it
I loved it, and held it, until it bit me, until I hated it

And what will you take from me this time my young love
And whose arms do you swing from tonight my sweet love

I sense that a change has been forever forgotten
That a rearrangement of lives has been ignored and rewritten
When the peacefulness sets in my soul I will keep it
When it begs me to let it go, I will never release it, or appease it

And what would you have me do this time my young love
And what should I have said to make it stop pouring from above
And where will the books which taught us theses truths be burned
So that I can partake, and rape, and plunder the literature concerned

So that I can feel it, and smell it, and touch it, and be it
And when I see it, I will know it, and respect it,
Forever indebted, and departed, I am free to love it
As you are free to call yourself a lover, a singer, a writer, or poet

What a detailed write---like a story really...I thoroughly enjoyed this, and could see it unfolding before my eyes. Great format.
