If only you could have known
the pain you would have cause.
The day you said I dont want her.
The day I had been dropped.
The pain still stabs me deep
so deep within my heart.
Stabbing past my heart in fact
and shattering my soul.
I only wish you you could regret that day you gave me up
though its hard for me to say
I love you dad.
Though I say it
its only because I know you need it.
For all your life all youve needed
was in fact to be loved.
And though I know your my creator
I do love someone more.
That is infact my own dad,
the one that I adore.
He has been there
throughout thick and thin
has never let me down
I love you David Dryden
and forever always will.
You have been there by my side
have helped me up when I fell and cried
I love you daddy
remember that deep inside.

I have negated any and all I've ever had for my own father.. and now feel bereft on the whole idea that he even exisisted.

| very moving poem...i understand what your going through in a way...except i dont have a true father...they have both let me down in some way....glad you can realize all this...it took me long.... hopeless |
