Mystery

Mystery.

Some may think it only proves our stupidity and ignorance.
And while it may for those who doubt,
It doesn't for me.

I've always loved the beauty in that word,
The way it seems to
Protect
The unknown,
Even the things that...
Weren't really meant for us to
Understand.

For some reason,
It's the only word that comes to mind
As I remember stepping outside during one of those
five minute mid-summer downpours,
One of the many mysteries of the weather down here.
And I thought...

How could I have ever doubted?

Because the more mystery there is in life,
The more I'll learn to trust.
Mysteries are meant for those who
Find the beauty in them.

And the sky is more beautiful anyways
With a little mystery thrown in...
When it's half blue and
Half gray
With purple-red-orange streaks painted across the
Horizon.

AMEN my little one. Mysteries of the universe keep us reaching to find the answers.
Enlightening our minds and surrounding us in the beauties of life. Great poem.

love,
Rita
