as i watch you walk by
you turn and look
see the tears stream from my eyes
because you know this is goodbye
i tried to tell you how i felt
the way you look at me
your words make me melt
the things my heart has felt
i wont let you do this to me
i wont let you walk away
if only you could see what i see
then you would remember me
dont forget the times we had
and all the memeories we made
dont think about me being sad
if you do thats all you'll ever have
of the joyful songs they sing
no one ever listens
in their own little worlds
remembering everything
so as we watch the time fly by
and you see me cry
why do you just look
then pass me by?
im trying so hard to let you go
but all the things you'll never know
i watch the red run down
and the black take over
all the feelings i showed
but not the ones that were needed
ive heeded your warnings
and took all their scornings
im trying now to focus
here, there the both of us
and all the others
wipe it away, brush it off
never looking back
never wondering 'what if'
never taking the time
all the things you have are mine
my black broken heart
the tears on your hands
the marks in your soul
the words on your pants
that made us who we are
as i sit and watch you here
yet again another tear
walking across the way
you always do it
the way you took my heart
and failed to return it
watching the time pass
and the leaves are turning
you are turning
and now you leave
