and you came to me blood in your eyes, and all you ask is that I listen. and I do as the razors cut through the air divorce your mind from that hair that always seems to be obscuring your view. (literal and not.) inner tubes and inner pain, from that summer, you know. you cry, "it's all their fault" when they point and say "emo kid." and maybe it is. but you used to laugh when I called you that, and you'd push me off the seat.
now all I'll ever see is the you that you are now. the endings of life twist back to their beginnings, and your September sky is the same (identical) as last year. it's all the same, you're the same, everything. this time I mean it.
so talk to me, tell me of your pain. your trials. your tribulations. tell me how they're not your fault. I promise to believe you, even when the steel comes.
just don't get blood on the carpet.
