Only a Friend
How come every time
I try to show someone my feelings
I end up being
Just a friend
Nothing more
But when I say its the end
Im not a friend
Im so much more
How come
The one person I love
Ends up wanting to be just a friend
And ends up falling in love with my best friend
And when he tries tell me his problems
Like good friends do
He mentions my best friend
And how he thinks their relationship
May come to an end
And I dont know what to say
Because they are so great together
But my jealousy controls me
And I wish it would end
So it does
And when I take a chance and ask the question
I find out Im his best friend
That I'm not his special someone
Yet he seems to want me
Yet he still turns me away
I get so confused
I knew that he loved me
But he couldnt accept me
Why does he have to be just a friend?
