She'll always deny it

Contributed by starry_eyed_soul on Monday, 27th June 2005 @ 10:48:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

And she doesnt know what to do
The time drags by and her hope dies
She watches everyone conform
They all change to be something theyre not
Everyone continues to act in this play
She thinks itd be better to join in
But puts the thought away
Shes the friend to many but still
Her good friends disclude her and
Her new friends dont know
There are only few she can count on
mostly herself
She relies on the mirror to agree with no doubt
The others they see her all happy and content
But theres a deeper feeling inside
One she trys to forget
Shes not depressed, not suicidal
Shes just searching for more
But shell always deny it

An appropriate title. To some extent there is denial is all of us. Isn't there?

I liked the feel of this poem and the point you made.

Very unique.

Are not we all always looking for more ?
Grass is greener on the other side.
It matters not what one has it is peace within that gives happiness.

I thought this poem was good and you covered all of humanity--not just yourself-We tend to pur ourselves down.
To have one friend in life is to have treasure.
nice poem.
