Our love has drowned in sadness
I regret to inform you it was`nt painless
i loved you so much
i reached out but you never touched
the connection i lusted to gain
to take away my world of pain
A lesson in life has been learnt
my only wish is i did`nt get my fingers burnt
the hours i spent trying to make things right
the times i cried through the long cold night
You were my lattern threw the dark
You know you left your mark
you stained it in
all over my skin
my reflection no longer looks the same
i am a man now not just a name
for all love you had was`nt real
and i ended up with the raw deal
we were caught up in things
jumped in too soon and confused our feelings
I am on the beach now i have my head clear
and for the lessons you taught me i say now "thank you, my dear!"
