Lean against the wall Fingers against the window And sing a different tune Each year As you grow older Your white ship That you haven't changed In ages Let your eyeliner run Softly down your cheeks Like melted charcoal From the ashes Of your passion Oh The past forgets You're gone up in smoke In the ashtray at your bedside So drink the fairy Wish on the coin Then flutter your eyelids
Then dream softly
As your world fades out
As your world fades to black

wow!
THIS-IS-AMAZING!
i like it where you put
'sing a different tune'
'Let your eyeliner run
Softly down your cheeks
Like melted charcoal'
'So drink the fairy
Wish on the coin'
'As your world fades out
As your world fades to black'
... those parts reeally pulled this poem together.
i under stodod this, i think... and i love it!
