Dont Give Up My Child

Dont give up on life my child
I know its full of pain
You will know happiness and love
In your life someday
I know your mommy hurt you
And your daddy ran away
But know that someone loves you
And thats the way it will stay
Dont let people get to you
Or put you down in life
In your heart you know who you are
And never be ashamed
Hold your head up high my child
Let it be known
You have lived a less than happy life
But you have never been alone
When mommy used to hit you
And lock you in your room
You would pray to Jesus
To come and rescue you
The tears would disappear and the sadness melt away
For you knew that Jesus
Was always there to stay
