The windows are rolled down. Breeze ruffles his hair... He's thinking of times when he was young, How the night air always smelled different on vacation. Some how full of excitement... But he'd think on just about anything... To keep himself from pondering... About what he's doing now.
Once upon a time, he prayed a lot. He used to have faith that things would always work out, exactly how they were suppose to. But time's have changed, That little boy had aged, And has discovered that nine out of ten times... Things don't exactly go our way... Finally, after the tragic demise... Of his only love, his betrothed wife... He stopped praying all together.
He turns on the radio, and listens to an old song, that reminds him of a time... Long long ago... When the stars were romantic, And the moonlight was soft... Tears run down his cheeks... He turns the radio off... Up ahead is a bridge... He switches gears, and speeds his old car up...
As the ocean gets closer... And the lights shine on his tear stained eyes... For the first time in many years... He begins to say a prayer... God, he says... Give me a sign... In the next thirty seconds... Before I end my life... Give me a sign... And I'll stop...
I'm waiting...
