Forever Alone

Contributed by AmyLee4Ever on Thursday, 30th June 2005 @ 02:00:39 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Trapped underneath this dark, dead breath
It's my last, shall I fret?
Rising hopes that flew in the sky
Are now left so blank and dry
I'm crying out my sad story
Yet no one has come for me
There is no energy left for my spending
For I know now there can be no mending
I touched something I was never meant to feel
I now have my punishment, I will not heal
I should have never let you see
Just how vulnerable I could be
You saw the trust I had in you
And still didn't care, is that true?
My mind crumbles in an evil, deep pit
I look up to find my life is no longer lit
You have seemed to be able to move on with your life
But I still have the scar where I was stabbed with your knife
While stumbling along my deserted street
I frantically look to see what I can meet
No matter where I look ahead
Everything but me is lying dead
Though I'm not deceased I am still dying
You put me through this with all of your lying
If I had a choice, I'd rather be dead
But you have forced me to live inside of my weakened head
What will I do for the rest of my years?
I will hold on to this last breath while freeing my tears

What an emotive piece Jodi...Great job! I love these two lines; "I touched something I was never meant to feel, I now have my punishment, I will not heal..." Wow. Excellent.
