i just feel dead inside today
have you ever thought how she was
if she was happy if she still sparkled
tonight i got my wish
on a star two years away
shes married now
she says shes fine
as she looks to the floor
the sparkle almost gone in this lovely star
she calls me she writes all the while
she says her life is alright
but she still talks of our love
alone i feel tonight
wishing on a star that doesnt bright
