Waiting for my sweet love to come - By Joe Belcher

I wait my life for a beautiful girl to hold my heart with sweet intention
To care for me, to love me and give me her unrelenting divine attention
Ill wait my life til you come into my sights without mention
That dwelling scenario, hot feelings its lovers tention

From dewy morning to sunkist night from lonely moon til morning light
I wait, I wait, and I wait til youre here, to brighten my joy, to extinquish my fear
So alert me on your arrival and I can prepare
For that awkward moment or that loving stare

Time goes by and Im still on my own
Not answering the door or picking up the phone
Listening to the sound of the angels talk above
I am the hand to your lace glove.

Different then your usual Joe. I thought this beautiful none the less. Yes, good things come to those who wait. Old saying but very true indeed. There is a soul mate out there for everyone. It took me years to find mine. Good luck to you Joe. Much peace. Laura

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
