come backs

Days change into months, months into years.
Time doesn't seem to fly so fast
When i'm sitting in the kitchen
With already cold coffee - quite the contrary.
I measure the time with the water drops falling from the tap
(You've promised to fix it, remember?)
Every drop seems to prolong the moment when it falls to pieces
And so am I
My strategy is makeing everyone belive (myself especially) that everything's perfectly well.
I'm quite good at that
They don't even ask if i'm ok anymore
Morning - work, afternoon - differs from day to day, evening - waiting
Evenings are the most difficult
I tried to keep myself busy
I was jogging for some time
Then went to swimmingpool
Read some books sitting in the chair by the window
Now I only sit
And think
Wonder if you are thinking about me
I still can't think of you without smiling
Although all of this
I would forgive you everything
You wouldn't even have to ask
You would sit next to me
Hold my hand
Said something, doesn't really matter what
And I would be happy
I guess you would talk about your wife
That she doesn't really matters
And that you're with her only because
You don't like to make other unhappy
Besides you alway coming back to me
I'm afraid of that come backs
You are like a tide
Everytime you leave
You're taking a part of me with you
I don't know for how long I will last...

I hear ya.
It's all in how much you are willing to put up with, with good reason to be afraid.
that's one reason i live alone.
great work.
big huggs,
emy
Awesome writing.

I wrote this a while back .... though it kinda fits here ...... " Nothing is as sad as unrequited love...... to dream and not realize is like gasping for air and there is none to be had..... reaching your hand up to the stars and never being able to touch them, such a pain never realized until you are touched by the experience. In the same context there's no greater joy as when you have been discovered and loved in return." ....... Unknown Legend
