Eye's wide open.

Topic: drugabuse

She laid there on her death bed ,
Such an awful sight to see, all this time she was dying for the lover that was he.
Her life was nearly over , so young and yet so free.
This punishment we do call love ,should never really be.

A whisper here a whisper there , no one really knew .
A life of hell , a broken rib , her body black and blue.
Her broken family grieve and weep , the pain unbearable and cut's too deep.
A sudden fate awaite's her now , it's only now we see.

We learned the secret's that she hid , we knew the truth of what he did.
A silent killer lurked around us all this time it did surround us .
Our eye's were'nt open and we did not see ,now we feel guilty and now we see.

But it's too late now , her time ran out , her body is broken without a doubt.
The angel's will come down and guide her away, to the neverending place of eternity to stay.
She will not hurt and there'll be no more pain .
It didnt have to be like this , it's such a shame.

No word's can describe , this feeling inside of empty dream's and wasted live's.
Like your favourite toy ,you had as a child , now torn to peices and left to die.
Blinded by charm and left wide open ,gave him room to create,
this monster inside him we have now come to hate.

Our eye's were'nt open , we did not see...now we feel bad ....now we see.

I read this several times and it was well thought out but, according to statics, men are less willing to report violence and one site I have been reading says that men are equally and in some places more susceptible to abuse than women, they just are too ashamed to report it .... I don't condone violence of any kind but it's about equal between men and women who are more violent. Write on....!
