I tried

Contributed by inlovewithaladd on Wednesday, 1st October 2008 @ 11:31:12 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

i tried to hopelessly please
you who make heartless demands on me
juggled and tapdanced until my legs and arms were sore
sang and danced until i could take no more
now i guess we're through...

this is where all the hate goes
when i swallow it's bitter powder whole
i choke and i cough and i swallow it down

this is where i tell myself i have no needs
go without sleep and food, to bleed
for someone else's piece of mind

and this is where i'm sick of it
and this is where i threw away
yards and yards of white picket fence just to be happy...
this is where i second guess every little move
and eat my words whole

There are hungers which entrap and drive us
to step upon our fate
and willingly disgorge
our entralis
in seach of what ever
that something is
which seems to make it worth it.
What is that?
Is it love/
is it devotion addiction
is it some other/
but what everver it might
be it is clear thatt it could not be
spared.
that its loss was to precious
to be ignored.
What is it?

Anguish indeed....
Reminds me of being forced to dance to the Fates' hurtful music...
I feel you on this one...
Good Job!
Chin up,,,,
Things will get better....
