Symphony of Blue

I'm drifting away. Cutting myself almost everyday. Lying, saying "I'm okay". Why won't the pain just go away?
Socially handicap, useless, and dumb. Look at this monster I've become. Slaving away all day long. Just pretending that I belong.
And it runs across my arm, So easily I fell into this self-harm. Look down at the fresh cut, Represents all my doors being shut.
No one knows the pain I feel. Will these scars ever heal? Emotional and physical too. My life a symphony of blue.
In this world, lost and alone. Does no one hear my silent moan. In this box, I will stay. And these burdens, they will weigh.

i've read enough sad, depressing, and dark poetry to last a lifetime -
but this... was refreshing in a sense. it wasn't consumed with raw pain and emotion - there was some thought put into it... i'm not sure how to explain it, but i loved it.
