Earths Fate

Contributed by Tanman on Monday, 31st August 2009 @ 04:13:17 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

What have we done? We've polluted the sky, eventually burning ourselves alive.
Tearing down forests and putting up cities, people not caring about losing a few species.

Scaring the earth never to be the same, humanity to stuck up saying we're not to blame!

Trying to go green trying to be safe, not realizing that it might be to late.
People trying to do what they can to save this green earth, hoping its still there upon there rebirth.

But I fear the damage has been done and we've sealed our fate, before you know it we're knocking at heavens gate.

What have we done can we change? only time will tell if this great planet will be different or go unchanged.

You raise some good points what drew me what can we change..made me think
We have poisoned this earth and people, humans won't change until the penultimate moment when it's all about to fall apart, but by then I think it'll be to late. Humanity, worldwide needs a wake up call, but who will be the one to issue it, and will they listen
Great poem, made me think inspired me to write another poem
Hope to read more soon

Bravo on the write as well as the topic.
It is true our mother is crying and wounded.

THe thing that sickens me now, all the sudden everyone is going green crazy, more for showing off than really helping in alot of cases........ It has taken 100 years to do the damage, it is going to take 100 to fix it, and it will take everyone!

I hope our mother will forgive us!

Hugs
Michelle
