the eye in the sky

Contributed by zukunftmorder on Saturday, 18th February 2012 @ 11:12:28 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

if the eye in the sky does really tell lies,
then baby i think we should both just go die,
oh how i miss your slippery lisp,
my mind stood still in your vast abyss.

you told me things so wonderfully,
how we would live so blissfully,
far away from everyone,
and their problems, and their poisons..

you shot me down, spun me around,
in your complacent little spider web,
i lay there peacefully and sound,
my ears had fallen deaf.

but now i am reborn again and this face,
you won't recognize, my mind is free,
i'm left here blind, carefree,
displaced, and dead.

i thank you whore for i want nothing more,
than to feel the grin on my face when you
repent for all your sins. i'll thank the heavens,
for their beautiful grace and untangle your webs.

Relationships come and go leaving various degrees of love and hate. You described this one well. Don't have to guess on what side of the scale this one lies.

It's both creative and imaginative, however, I think it is inappropriate to be asking for "reviews" when

1. You are unwilling to return same

and

2. Every time you post a poem the site asks for you to read and comment on at least three for every one you post.

Just saying.

Keep up the good work...at least as for as writing.

Thanks,

Tim
