Could there ever be
Another world, A different place
to live
Without murderers, thiefs and rapists
A world where everyone is safe
No matter what sex, race or preferance
Where you could have opinions
But not get penalized
A world full of wild animals
And trees that go for miles
Could there ever be a world
Like this or would this just be another
Utopia.

Hmm I don't think so... Even in the animal kingdom you've got predators killing for food or big ugly males competing viciously for dominance; magpies that steal shiny objects and hungry animals stealing eggs from nests; dominant males coupling with females whenever they please (although the girls probably like it anyway); total discrimination based on gender and species; and what's worse, animals neglect their decrepit elderly citizens! At least in our corrupt human world we take the trouble to insert old people into nursing homes with food and shelter and medicinal care.
But I totally see what you're getting at in terms of human societies. Unfortunately I think human nature makes all these bad things a certainty. All we can hope to do is punish those who hurt others or evolve to a higher species with a superior sense of compassion, judgment, intellect and rationality. How depressing. |
