When you look into the mirror,
You see
A hair out of place,
Smudged lipstick.
But,
When I, look into a mirror,
I see,
Much more.
I see,
A person,
Not any person,
Someone who is waiting for
Her, time to shine
For her, time
To be accepted,
To be noticed.
I see
A teenager,
Not, a girl
But still not mature enough
To be a woman
And is enjoying every second
Life gives her.
I see,
Dark circles,
From studying
Or from gaming.
I see,
Light brown skin,
From clashing cultures,
Combining of two
Different, worlds.
Most importantly I see,
Someone who likes to
Take her time,
Someone who can smile
During hard days,
Someone who has
An open mind,
Someone who has
An open heart.
When I look into the mirror
I see past the
Skin, hair and flesh,
I see,
Me.
