Chicago, you lazy bum

Contributed by Ina on Saturday, 21st August 2004 @ 12:08:39 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

I am back Chicago!
But you,
you havent moved an inch,
you just sat here looking like THAT while I was gone?
Silly me, of course you never do anything worth while
you just drift through history, poetry, and cabaret songs,
without making any significant contributions.
Well, Chicago, I kayaked through the River Styx,
and slept on wigs of hay
and you?
My GOD you are pale!
I feel like I dont know you anymore,
with your odd dialect and obnoxious personality.
You should have seen me Chicago,
I had this spiritual quest
(which you would never let me take!)
and found cities can be beautiful,
not like you
you foul flushed out couch potato.

I felt like this is a poem I'd read in a book. It feels proffesional if that means anything. Precisely said. You expressed alot, years of experience in Chicago, in a very short space, and that is what I mean by professional. But I'm not a critiqe (sp?) Reminds me of a beat poem.

you foul flushed out couch potato

lol....well said.

Be true,
zenmind
