intoxication

Contributed by poky1502 on Thursday, 17th February 2005 @ 06:59:36 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

we are all together
shoulder to shoulder we stand
never further apart
only connected by one desire
to be a part of each other
but removed all the same
names are never learned
words barely spoken
eyes give the signal so the feet dont stop
no need to be polite
the influence of acceptance is your excuse
seperated from all the rest
we are all the same with different faces
the reasons differ
but were at all the same places
empty souls searching for company
we never get what were looking for
so you walk through the sea
facing bags of false reality
backs turned, state their purpose
the idea of similarity scares them
individuality is their religon
free will, their savior
some will never turn their heads
scared of what theyll find
when they see themselves in your eyes
when they realize were all dead

wow, great post I must say. You present yourself with depth, clarity, and insight, in a most perculiar way. What I mean is that you come across in this poem, like you understand that everyone is connected, but at the same time you also say that everyone is isolated within their own desires and views of false reality. This has a feeling of let down, but also positivity woven within it, but it is mostly a feeling of let down and disappointment. Your perspective intrigues me. I like it.

Be True,
zenmind
