The Chill That Remains

Contributed by ThemSheeps on Tuesday, 16th August 2005 @ 07:47:41 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Have you ever known a Cold that was hot:
A Cold that confused the senses?
Have you ever sought for heat but not
Been able to build up your defences?

No fire can drive out this Snow
No fleece can fend against the Cold
No furnace can soften the blow
For ones hearts still gripped in Its hold.

Such a Cold I can feel when we are far apart.
Only the love and warmth in your smile
Can melt this Frost from my heart.

All that is left for me to do
Is try and say how much I love you

Love is very much like that. And to know it and feel it in all it's realities is wonderful. Terrific job.
