So Much Rope

Contributed by Dri on Wednesday, 7th December 2005 @ 01:00:14 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

so much rope that
we tie around
the necks
of those who would forgive
to make this feel
real
so many lovers that
we lead astray
to convince ourselves that
we not only deserved
but should have enjoyed
the end as the silk slid
to the floor

I know they’re nothing
but they’re the only
nothing that I have
he said, staring out over
my naked shoulder at
the city lights
of course I’d take
loneliness over knowing
those closest to me don’t
know a thing

I know he’s nothing
but he was the only person
who was real
and not only did I deserve,
I desired the end
wind the rope tighter, sing
him a song

Such a sad and emotional write. One can sense ur pain and sadness through the words you've displayed. Chin up, I hope it helped to write ur emotions down.
May ur days ahead be much brighter.
*heartfelt hugs for u*
