My Life Is Full

Contributed by Ruby2sdy on Sunday, 6th April 2008 @ 11:42:08 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

My life is full of loose ends and old lovers,
Friends of friends, sisters, mothers,
Car insurance and income tax,
Problems with the photocopier, answer phone and fax.
Too much food and too much drink,
And not enough time to think,
The heaters broken, the gas is gone,
And as for money, well, theres none.
Im unemployed and cant find work,
And half my family have gone berserk,
I left my fella because he said Im fat,
So now its just me and the cat.
Ive sprained my ankle, Im epileptic,
And the cut on my finger is going septic,
Im a chain smoker with a chest infection,
And cant decide whether to vote, in the election,
Ive got a headache, Im feeling sick,
No qualifications; not dyslexic, but thick.
Ive aching hips and clicking knees,
And Im coming down with some disease,
Of all these things, theres one thing true, you see:
I am glad this is fiction, just poetry.

I loved how you used your words, gradually becoming more and more serious. Till that final line!!!! I loved it

Pure entertainment......maybe a comedy script beckons, you certainly made me laugh when I came to that final line.
You live in a great part of the world..........how do I know?..........I live there too

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
