I Will Get Over You

Heartbreak...
We all go through it.
But for everyone elses sake,
I wish we wouldnt.

Its the hardest thing Ive ever been through.
I loved you,
With all of my beating heart.
And from the start,
I knew that this was going to happen.

Ive been beaten,
Every inch of me bruised.
I was used,
And you were just barely amused.
I mightve meant something to you,
Its true.
But its obvious not very much.
Oh god, how I miss your touch.

I dont want to love you anymore, I dont want to miss you.
My happiness is much overdue.
They say a guys not worth your tears.
I thought I knew what I was afraid of, but I realize that losing you was one of my worst fears.
But I dont want to feel this much pain anymore.
I hurt down to my very core.

I miss being happy, being able to smile and actually mean it.
But that path has been unlit,
And Ive started down a new one,
And it hasnt been fun.

But youre no longer in my life,
And Im not sure you even care.
To me, its not fair.
But what is fair in life?

I have to learn to carry myself now,
Because youre not here no more.
For now, you, I will just ignore.
I will try my best to get over you and get on with my life.
I will not use that knife,
Because I dont want everyone to hurt because of you.
My happiness is long overdue.
And soI will get over you.
