Missing Him

Contributed by desolantdreamer on Thursday, 18th September 2008 @ 02:18:26 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Darkness wraps itself around me
A tight suffocating blanket of angst
I don't shed a tear
Despite the bleeding of my heart
The pain so very clearly there
It threatens to swallow me whole
But I ignore it and keep walking forward
One night was all it was
Love can't form in just one night
"Get over it" I tell myself
So you'll never see his face again
So what?
He's a bad person anyway
It's known well far and wide
He's a cheater he's a liar
Why would you fall for him anyway?
A couple kisses a few laughs
That's all we shared
Yet in the pit of my stomach
I know it's not true
That in that one night I knew it
I fell in love with him
My lips long for his again
My tongue misses his taste, my nose his smell
The feel of his body against mine
I miss it all
And I'll never feel it again
The party was wild
And everyone avoids talking about it
Because things that shouldn't have happened occurred
But I can't forget it
I can't ignore the want to cry
The fact that I'll never see his face again
Or feel his lips against mine
It brings tears to my eyes
Unshed they remain
I'm stronger than that
He's just a piece of history
A memory...
But I can't help it
And soon my strength will break
The tears will flow down
Uncontrolled
And I will be lost in the dark
Forever missing him...
