____________________________

each breath takes in,
small amounts of acidity.
nothing is entirely made of -
purity, divinity.

all I wanted,
was a little bit of eternity.
to call only mine -
in my nonconformity.

all i see, is mundane -
and lacking opportunity.
profanity, obscenity; in this community.
i only want munity.

how can you;
keep your dignity?
you're so fake -
such an atrocity.

your optimism is so blind,
that you have trust in humanity.
i won't lie to say i disagree -
but i still have my sanity.

because i believe -
in my own serenity,
it's just how i've survived.
through adversity, malignity

i won't cater to,
my own selfish vanity.
unlike you -
and your masculinity.

but i know what does not bend, nor break.
i know what will always stay;
My true words, and their -
Believability.

all of my faith resides;
not in you or your deity -
i believe in words, their rhythm and their rhyme -
my affinity;
my infinity.

Well, I like it too. :-) I really like the play on words while simultaneously stating your thoughts on society, religion and life in general. Great job and an enjoyable read.

Take care,

Tim
