For the both of you

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A second chance,
underserving but given
sliced by the knife
of apology, i'm sickened
Countless mistakes
and countless retakes
in a relationship
that makes me shake

I'm sorry if you ever felt
like I could live with someone else
I'm trying and God I wish I could
I'm sorry if you didn't know
how it felt to let you go
and I swore to God I never would

but you didn't swear to *****
instead you made me sick.

A perfect chance,
a face clouded by mist
smiling and waiting
for a meaningless kiss
Countless lies
she fed me
and countless times
she led me on

I'm sorry if you ever felt
like I could live with someone else
I'm trying and God I wish I could
I'm sorry if you didn't know
how it felt to let you go
and I swore to God I never would

but you didn't swear to *****
instead you made me sick.

Would it have mattered if I ever changed
and kissed you in that makeshift rain
or would you still have got on that plane and booked it?

You said your so sorry for what you did
but do you understand, they'll never give
what I could have given you if you had let me
because no one could ever love you as much as me,
that's for sure...it's ***** impossible

Usually this isn't my kind of flick
but it was so real, so raw with emotion
I could see the images of the rain, the plane
and I believed you when you crowned your love king
compered to the rest,I felt like i was in your shoes
a profoundly stirring passage I must admit it got to me
