I saw the devil

~I saw the devil~

I watched you change before my eyes,

Twisted up in your demented mind.

I felt the evil in the air

I saw the devil in your cold hard stare.

Never in my wildest dreams

would I think I'd ever see

a she ***** arrive in overdrive

twisted with the devils guise

shake the earth beneath my feet.

Words and twisted mind unfurled

pounding fists and hatefilled glares

no word no reason to comprehend

I watched the devil end a friend.

Or maybe that was in fact the lie.

Im through, I am forever done.

This time it cannot be undone.

The thread and the tie's that bind

no heart felt empathy for you

Im blind, heart strings I took a sharp knife to

I severed you I severed you,

Tossed the ashes to the wind

you wont be near me again, again.

I saw the devil and it was you

tis sadly true sadly true.

Your actions and everything you do

he has caught you and melted in your stone cold soul.

Get behind me devil, I cast you to the dust.

Your piece reminds me of the story of Legion , the one who could not be chained any longer. Some meds or the lack of them can make people do crazy things. I like the style of your poem and your rhyming scheme.

A harsh episode, and you are rightly devasted and in no mood for forgiving. Seems to me that your 'best' friend is in an extremely dark place a the moment.

This explains to my why it is so hard to trust people.

Thanks for your comments on my last poem.

Best,
