The Guidance of Angels

Contributed by xHeathenx on Monday, 24th August 2015 @ 07:04:33 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

She speaks the tongue
Of myth and cherub
Walking on pedestals,
Climbing ever higher
She takes my hand,
And leads the way
Guiding me,
To a better day

To see the world,
In crayon textures
Escape the world
Of black and white
One needs climb
From the depths
A journey must be made,
From the Everglades

Stand atop the cathedral,
Look down upon the town,
And you will find sights,
Without equal
After letting go of human hands,
And embracing an idyllic world

I'd hope angels descend to come to us as human angels!

You deftly show your skill as a poet again and again. I am amazed by this piece. Its passionate yet pure. You inspire writers like me to try.

Nice to see your latest, you heathen you. A philo-pizza-losopher...you don't find them every day. I'll have to reread this a few times to get beneath the wrapping.

I miss our deeper correspondence. Did I prove to blunt an edge to slice the conversational pie? pm me, my friend.

I can't always decipher your true intentions within your clever poetry, but I swear I detect sarcasm and a general mockery of rose-coloured glasses and the like. I could be way off, and most likely am, but forgive my smirks and cheering along as I pretend otherwise. Hehe ;)
Now I'm giggling on a Tuesday, before noon- diabolical.

Heathen indeed!

Now that Scorp mentions it, it does seems sort of sarcastic or facetious. I've read it about four times now and yeah.

I'll chip away at their pedestal I built for them until I can chip no further.

But then I can read it again and simply get lost in beauty. I think it's one of those types of poems that could have a few layers of meaning.

Nicely played.

Thanks,

Tim
