Curtain Call

Contributed by softerware on Sunday, 1st October 2017 @ 03:06:54 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

There is no ESCAPE; no DELETE; no REBOOT.
You cant buy more MEMORY,
and your OPERATING SYSTEM is already obsolete.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Make it worth your brief time on the stage--
the audience has a short memory.

Interesting. There/'/s no leaving, no removing, and no restarting, and you can/'/t buy a way for people to remember you any more than a small story like a biography. Nobody will ever know you like a person who has lived. Something we don/'/t stop to consider but really has some weight behind it.

I suppose then, that crushing blow should be deftly parried by saying nobody can know us as well as our selves in the end, that is... if we let our selves.

So perhaps the best way to be remembered will be during our own life times by our selves, and in our childrens/'/, for as long as that motivates us, the best of our ability and beliefs and values continues to change the world for the better!

Short write, but a lot to think about that comes with it!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
