you`re not so easy to love
when your darkest thoughts are written on the walls
you`re not the best company
when you hate me for making you feel so small
I`m trying to forgive you
for all those awful things I know you`ve done
and we don`t talk about it
you tell me it`s my fault and I`m outgunned
I wanna stand up to you
but you always insist you`re right and I`m wrong
and I`m tired of fighting
so I give up, give in, and just play along
you`re not so likeable
when I`m witness to all your hostilities
you`re not so put together
when you unleash all your volatility
your hypocrisy stuns me
lying to me even though I know the truth
but I`ll keep your secrets
just like you`ve kept mine all these years, since our youth
you`re not so easy to leave
I`ve turned my back on you but I don`t get far
times I just wanted to sleep
I stayed up with you and let you fall apart
because I understand you
I can`t escape these ties that bind me to you
I know you`re always with me
you`re my greatest love and I`m yours too
