The sun
beautifully sets
thoughts are swirling as I come alive
thunder and lightning from a emotional storm
still linger but hurt no more
there are so many things are happening
sludge kicking all day
has me thinking about how the world is crumbling
there is more experiences in life yet to come
as I search for a existence where we all get along
Its to easy to hate
and satisfaction seems like a sin
its hard to feel like I am winning
when I am only losing again
even on the days I feel strong
its sad because I know something is wrong
maybe worrying is in our DNA
that gets more intense
as we are on the verge of the fade
I have no need for religion
I love a few a people that I consider family
its just a secret I keep
as I struggle in this experience
its hard to balance wants versus-es needs
the stars are now twinkling
as my thoughts merge with the moonlight
I start to get a peaceful tingling
for a moment
with everything thats going on
I am comfortably numb

We question our existence and its purpose, and sometimes, as in your description, the answers elude us.
You have left us hope as your story ends, that we can tolerate unknowing. This is the basis of living on faith, and perhaps the very reason for it.
Your eloquent write invites us to join you in thinking through our automated lives to find sufficient meaning to justify our daily struggles.

So many great lines here that I wish I had penned myself.
"Thunder and lightning from an emotional storm"
and
"My thoughts merge with the moonlight"
really captured my imagination.
An existence where we all get along?, maybe that really is a Utopian ideal , sadly I can/'/t see that ever happening but it/'/s nice to think it will
