Barney Rubble Is In Trouble

Let me tell you about Barney Rubble.
He/'/s a criminal who is in big trouble.
Barney lost his job and Bamm-Bamm was taken by the state.
That made him turn mean, he has been consumed by hate.
He and Fred Flintstone are enemies now, he/'/s gotten himself in a mess.
Barney looked through Fred/'/s window and watched Wilma undress.
Wilma knew that he was watching but didn/'/t care.
She didn/'/t mind him seeing her while she was bare.
Barney bought a new car after he kidnapped Pebbles and sold her on the Black Market.
But the bank took his house so he had no place to park it.
All of this started because Barney lost his son.
Now Fred is out looking for Barney with a gun.
Fred is determined to shoot his former friend and watch him die.
He just found Barney so now Barney can kiss his butt goodbye.

wow, this is completely different than the cartoon
about a prehistoric family I grew up with.
"The Flinstones", was highly creative and
strangely similar to the world I grew up
in. BTW, it was Betty who was really hot,
Wilma, not so much.
And I always thought that was why Barney
was so laid back and easy going.
So this car he stole, sure on the outside
it probably looked extravagant, but
still old Barney had to use his feet
to make it go.
And Dino, you forgot to mention
man/'/s best friend back in them days,
Dino the pet, after the other bigger
Dinosaurs were of course used
for moving rock, in the rock quarry
where old Barney and Fred worked
as Dinosaur operators,
Anyway, Dino would come
between Fred and Barney
and not let Fred shoot Barney
with a gun - the hand held catapult would be
a sling shot sort of article
that shot one rock at a time,
sort of like a sling shot/cross bow,
only the National Sling-shot Association
would of course look the other way when
they used this gravel loader bump-stock
that turned it into a rapid fire
multi assault weapon.
And you are like six years old
and thinking, wait what,
why those prehistoric peeps
were kind of like we are -
And sure, they/'/d make
a whole bunch of sitcoms
like, Friends, and Seinfeld
for me to watch when I
turn twenty - to thirty something.
"Man that/'/s depressing to think about Yogi",
Boo Boo said.

True that its different that the version that we all grew up with. But if you think about it...what you/'/ve written here is a representation of what life like is today and probably what cavemen like Barney and Fred would tell us after they thawed.
Thanks for sharing my friend. Definitely a truly brilliant piece of writing :))
