I never feared growing up
Now I fear growing old
My future has long been foretold
I`m waking up to a new day
Welcome to the modern world
I guess I`ll stick around
Give it a whirl
Live for a new day, a new day
A fresh start to some kind of different way
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Those I once loved
Now are all gone
Their worries are no more
But I`m living in a world of fear
That`s my only gear
Waiting for a new day
Something better than today
I`m waking up to a new day, a new day
My future now in God`s hands
Not what I planned
Gonna go with the flow
Cause that`s all I know

the true back end of growing
old, eh...
this is all too true how I feel too.
So you wish again and again
sometimes you could go back
to be with those folks, tell them
how much you might understand
better now what growing old
entails
aside from that, there is this
older lady at Trader Joe/'/s who
wears these commonly seen
today leotard spandex pants
and man she has a great
point of view
I think why not,
woof ...
the writer got old
and burned everything
he/'/d ever written
trying to forget
all he was,
and all he ever
imagined
Since life for him
was like burning leaves
like they used to do
when he was just a kid.
Peace!

your flow conveys what many of us
growing old peeps think of often
I would not say fear
I would say not looking forward
to the new tricks and curves
that pop up now..... |

I started to think more about the end of life when I hit 50 last year. It/'/s quite a sobering thought when potentially you have lived more of your life than you have left.
Perhaps we shouldn/'/t dwell on the inevitable but focus more on the potential...........what can we do with the time we have left?
That/'/s the key maybe!!
