Think of all the times we`ve told someone a little white lie to spare their feelings, well of course we do it to ourselves as well! It`s how we cope...a two edged blade that.

Yes we sometimes deceive others to spare their
feelings.
As Jecks said.."We as poets are the worst"
Which is true. We have a way through our word-play
to twist things just enough to hide our true meaning
and enable the reader to see something that
may not be a lie per say but more a watered down
version of the truth.
We poets are a special breed maybe an unnoticed
human sub-species (lol)

Well it seems that your poem was intended to be an inspirational piece which certainly seems to be useful for self-motivation, yet I feel I have to join in on this anti-poet manifesto in your comments section here.
Yeah and poets also stink cause they use rhythms to make words more pleasing so people enjoy something a lot that they wouldn/'/t think twice about out of rhythm! Lol |

I dream of reality
exactly what I see
I have been traveling
all around,
measuring things
that matter most
I am not a dreamer
more than I could
ever hope to paint
a true picture
I have been all around
the world,
I wish I could reinvent
poetry and words
And,
at the same time
Learn how to smile
and get those Gamma
rays ignited in my
Brain for a good
reason, no a great
reason, quite besides my own
self
someday
you know insist no heat
in the house and then
wake up early 4 AM
to start the furnace
so that the kids can
wake up in warmth.
What a nice guy...
