a day in the life of the outcast

Contributed by Strat on Thursday, 12th February 2004 @ 01:12:25 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

memories of the yesteryear
bring new emotions to the brim
they all but overflow
and i cannot contain them anymore
i've choked back the pain and anguish
but these new tears are to much
and i've cried myself to sleep so many times
that they've become a part of me
we share a symbiosis
i've learned to live with the shapness of it all
the cold, biting reality that is mine alone
alone is where i stand
deaf and without feeling
adevoid of all thought
and darkness is my only freind
cold my mistress
afraid to move i stand shaking
numb from the screaming silence
my life is on rewind
a streaming video of regret
dispair, and agony
Looping over and over again
each time getting more worn
until the feed cuts out
and the bandwidth of my soul is cut off
gone forever into the void
no one can hear me scream

i too once only knew shadows and darkness my world was as bleak as they come. but trust me one day you'll see the sun. one day someone will see you among the darkness and help you out as someone has done for me. great poem.
