my release

Contributed by Quilted_rag_doll on Friday, 27th February 2004 @ 09:42:51 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The night crys,
its tears pouring down.
The wind wipps around me,
pulling at my clothes.
I slowly dicard them,
and watch as they fall into a heap at my feet.
I drag the blade across my skin,
and watch the blood trickle.
I shudder silently,
and close my eyes.
I hear screams in the distance,
but do not know they are my own.
I open my eyes,
and look down at the world below me.
So far, it is, to the bottom,
so high up am i.
How it would be to soar,
just like an angel, falling from heaven.
My spirit would dance with the wind,
and my body would be weightless.
I would freefall,
down, down, down.
To where the earth awaits me.
There, i shall leave this world,
and enter another.
My soul shall be released,
and my body will no longer exist.
How i await this day to come,
with a burning longing.
Till then, i shall live on,
awaiting the day, and my release.

-For all those, whom long to be free.
Free of this life,
This world,
And its dark memories.
