Rock and a Hard Place

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Have you ever been in between a rock and a hard place?
Have you ever been the one trying to make it right?
Have you ever tried to show someone a sunray?
Where rain is the only thing falling from the sky?
Have you ever tried to be the laughter in a palace filled with tears?
If so how long did you try? Was it days? Was it months? Or was it years?
Have you ever been the strong one?
With no time to be weak?
Have you ever tried to hold someone, when all you want to do is weep?
How long will you last, old misery?
How long do you plan to show your face?
How long will you live dark history?
Is it me you are trying to waste?
I have been here this long and still have strength to type!
If its me you want old foe, you are in for more than a fight!
Sure you have worn me thin!
Sure you have made me ill!
But I will not give into you I have too much love I have to much will!
You see, a sword is not its strongest until in fire it has set!
This fire has taken its toll old foe, but you havent seen the last of me yet!
Because I know every storm has its end..
One day the sun must come.
So I will hold her hand with honor, until you think im overcome.
One day when you think its over, you think its the end of the race.
I will rise frail but with honor from this position I take IN BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE....oh love, you have no boundries...............

Excellent expression of struggle! The will to carry on and that hope lives! At least that is what I have read into it. You have a nice way with words. And haven't we all been between a rock and a hard place at one time or another in our lives? Some of us kinda get stuck there, though. I totally enjoyed reading this piece.

There appears ambiguity of thoughts though the expression is good-a bit lengthy also-keep writing.
