5-year-old days

Contributed by face-in-the-crowd on Sunday, 16th May 2004 @ 06:22:11 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Sometimes I miss
Those 5-year-old days
When I was normal
When nobody judged me
On what I looked like
Or what clothes I wore,
Even though
My mom picked them out.
And since when
Did a 5-year-old care
About the guy
Sitting next to her
In math class
And wonder if he thought
What everyone else did?
Since when
Did a 5-year-old
Refrain from playing
In the mud
Because she didn't want
To get her shoes dirty?
Since when was
A 5-year-old's life
So much more complicated
Than 2+3=5 and 5+5=10?
Since when
Was a 5-year-old included
In those depressing
"Adult discussions"?
Well, I'll tell ya
Ignorance is bliss
And sometimes we all miss
Those 5-year-old days.

i do miss those days, but hey i still get covered in mud lol and im 16. but the i guess messing around with mates on grass and stuff kinda does get you dirty. i know what you mean about being judged and depressing adult conversations. but look at it this way there is nothing wrong with occasionally actiong the fool or acting like a 5yr old if it makes you feel better. Also dont let the fact someone judges you stop you from doing something, you shouldnt care what everyone else thinks about you. as long as you are being true to yourself then why should it matter what they think and you never know they may even join you lol

love and hugs
genna
