Hope's Grace

Walking away in the stillness of the night, Your senses deceased. Your heart beyond repair. You look up to find hope, but hope turns it back on thee. You fall to your knees, to feel the earth for one last time, as tears empty from your blackened soul. You sit in the stillness, and close your eyes. As you slip away, you stare up at hope, and reach your outstretched hands towards its grace.

Clad in darkness and singed with despair.
I was struck by the direct nature of this one.
Thanks for sharing. |
