Metamorphosis

Topic: Lifepoems

Signatures By
The Tired Lion

Once a very long time ago-
I wrote about a catalyst
Spoken were words of optimism
And aspiration of times yet told.

Life was full of tea and wine
Filled with happiness and time
Easy was it to tell of butterflies
Aforetime entered metamorphosis.

I was young and full of dreams
Heart full of romantisim's scenes
When did it become a trail to follow
Life was then lived for tomorrow.

Enchanting metamorphosis of life
Has crushed my dreams; has broke my heart
When did it all break ground to die
And when was my last happy sigh ?

Now past; just another story complete
The paths all taken by the feet
All the roads have now been followed
Rusted, Wasted... Now on to dreams of
Tomorrow !!!

Forgotten tears of long past years
still dance up in my dreams
To fill my mind with sadness
as tomorrow it still leams.

A well worded piece,
wordsy.

just thought I might come back to your older ones and have a read. i am so glad i did so ness, this is beautiful. your writing has an old-world fairytale quality about it, i can actually hear a person like kate blanchard or liv tyler reading them aloud in a movie voice-over. words escape this classic yobbo.

Twinkletoes!

This just grabbed my thoughts. The path seems to keep changing in life but it never seems to go back to the good ole days or the time of beautiful butterflies and sunshine. It makes me wonder what I will morph into with time. Enjoyed this one alot Ness. Kie

Classic Nessa.

I've never seen this before,
I'm glad I looked for it.

Butterflies...
they get all the attention.

You have been so gracious to me on your your comments.. Now it is my turn.. I have gone back to your poetic beginning.. At least on here.. I did really like this poem.. It feels much like a butterfly and it's metamorphosis.. Captured (no pun) well.. Take care...
