In the dark corner of the mind

Contributed by Matsukaze on Friday, 6th August 2004 @ 08:41:33 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

So I see this darkened place, again
The place, that sometimes exists
Just as ominous, as the approaching sharks fin
Where fake and reality, leave hazy twists

Stuck in a place, where I dont know
What to look for, or where to go
Feeling there's something that I must do
Searching for her, in the fog that I run through

Now I feel the air getting thin
The streets and sidewalks, covered in blood, to the brim
How do I escape, what must I find?
Things are not as they seem, might aswell be blind

I open the door and I see, blood covering the wooden walls
Up the stairs and to the right, into the buildings halls
Feeling I had once been here before
In another time, but cant remember anymore

I see the strange tools around me
As rooms pass, I start to flee
This place of horror, stained with red
This place of madness, this place of dread

One last room remains to be seen
On the door, a note, but what does it mean
Terror fills my veins, as I read
Of this place, and it sinister deeds

You are reading now, so I'm sure you know
This place, is no place, and now you must go
Beyond this door, lyes your answers, infact
But can you keep your sanity intact?

Dropping the note to the floor
I then opened that door
But what lyed beyond, was not fear
And suddenly, everything became clear

I held her in my arms, as I gave up the fight
We held onto love, as the fog rolled in with the night
I looked down at her, as she cried
This was the place, where we died
